Pink Elephant Summer Yoga Retreat with Marco & Petra in beautiful Rome

23 - 30 July, 2017, Borgo Paola, Bracciano, Rome

8 DAYS OF YOGA,
UNTOUCHED NATURE,
DELICIOUS VEGETARIAN FOOD & COOKING CLASSES AND
ART & CULTURE OF AMAZING ROME

This year we decided to organize a very special retreat in the beautiful countryside estate of Borgo Paola.

Borgo Paola is situated above Acqua Paola’s antique springs, inside a forest which extends for over 2000 hectars where everyone can regenerate body and mind enjoying the peace of the beautiful nature. The structure of this lovely estate provides independent studio apartaments with bathrooms, a big swimming pool and the wonderful Yogananda round shala, specifically made for yogic practices in pure nature.

This 200 square meters circular room, built as the Rome’s Sistine Chapel, entirely made in wood and well-lit with its full-length windows looking into the woods will be our sacred place during this 8 days of retreat.

Here we will practice our daily morning pranayama, meditation and asana practice as well as the evening mantra chanting and yoga nidra.

The surrounding nature will be the perfect place to learn and experience the amazing yogic cleansing techniques-kriyas and a proper environment to deepen the knowledge of yoga philosophy and practice theory.

Apart from yoga practice, delicious food and well-being of resting next to the swimming pool, the surrounding area offers many interesting touristic opportunities:

— Bracciano is the nearby ancient and beautiful city with a wonderful castle, characteristic old streets with many shops, bars and restaurants.

— The lake, that can be reached in few minutes, offers places for bathing, sunbathing and trips with the local boats.

— Other amazing sites are Marturanum the monumental Etrusc necropolis, Monterano and its ghost city, the sulphur baths at the natural park of Caldara with its giant active sulphur bubble, the hot springs of Stigliano and many other beautiful characteristic sites of this incredible italian region.

— Rome, the Italian capital, can be reached by train in 40 minutes as well as its famous sea bathing sites like Santa Severa and Santa Marinella.

Petra Bianco

Petra Bianco

Pink Elephant Yoga House Co-founder, Yoga teacher

Petra grew up in a yogic environment in Zagreb as her parents were practising and teaching Yoga back in eighties.

Her personal yogic path started in 2001, when she was working worldwide as a successful professional model. At that time Yoga became her daily practice, helping her balance between worldly life under reflectors of fashion business and her intimate nature of yearning for connection from within.

Very soon she realized yogic path is her life calling and after finishing her carrier in 2010 she decided to enroll in teacher training program with great Indian masters Kamal Singh and Sunil Sharma and started teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa method on daily basis.

Soon after, her strong passion for pranayama practice brought her to study under guidance and tradition of her teacher, O.P.Tiwari, one of the few living masters in India teaching pranayama practice in traditional way. With his blessing, guidance and yearly extensive education in pranayama teacher training program in Kaivalydhama Yoga Institute of India, she became the first registered pranayama teacher of this Kaivalydhama tradition in Croatia and wider.

She is a passionate TM meditator since childhood but today she is very grateful to her meditation master and guide Ananda Vdovic, amazing woman and well-known meditation teacher and musician, for guiding her on this path of self discovery.

In early 2012, together with her husband Marco, she opened the Pink Elephant Yoga House, well known house for Yoga in Croatia and developed one of the most complete teacher training program called Pink Elephant Yoga Institute registered by the European Yoga Federation and recognized by the World Movement for Yoga and Ayurveda and World Yoga and Ayurveda Community.

Beside teaching in Pink Elephant, she is a passionate traveler, philanthropist and sociologist by profession who loves to share her energy with people around the globe, especially in different yoga retreats and workshops. Petra teachings are based on a deep understanding of all aspects of Ashtanga Yoga: physical, anatomical, philosophical and experiential. They are very detailed, challenging, full of useful tips and tricks, mindful hands-on adjustments and energy transfer and, above all, characterized by her unique way of teaching always focusing the attention of students towards their own personal experience and discoveries.

Yoga retreat with Petra and Marco Bianco is more than a vacation – it’s an investment. An ivestment into vacation, investment into body and soul.

The pracitice of ashtanga yoga and pranayama combined with wonderful lectures enabled me to dive in deep into myself, while the relaxed schedule maintained the vacationing feel, with enough time to go sight seeing or just enjoying the food, sun and sea.

If I could complain about anything, it would be that the retreat was too short!

At the right time, with nice people in the right place…

At this interesting and intensive yoga retreat led by Marco and Petra in Sardinia last year I got nice “answers”, learned to breathe better, practice Ashtanga Vinyasa method better and even more to observe a variety of different changes in me, called Yoga.

— Marin Lovrinov

Stylist, blog writer and shop assistant

Thank you for the opportunity to join your retreat group on Sardinia last year. It was amazing time for me: the program was well organized, perfectly balanced and I really enjoyed every moment of it!

The place was so beautiful that I would like to come back again and again.

For me it was the best way to spend seven days with yoga, excellent teachers and nice people! I would like to do it this year for even a longer period of time because the results in everyday life are almost touchable.
— Nailya Krunich

Aeronautical engineer and interior designer

My experience was wonderful even too short. Marco is a professional and humble teacher who follows the path of Patanjali like every yogin should do: with sincerity, fervour, passion and respect for the universe. Petra is a splendid teacher who transmits a lot of care and the power of Ha/Tha male/female energies. A complete women, very communicative.

What else to say, an experience to be repeated.
